Disability - Practice Area
Disability insurance provides that if you become sick or injured, you will receive monthly compensation for missed work. Frequently, individuals receive disability insurance as part of a compensation package through their employer. Compensation under a disability policy can be particularly difficult to recover, as it usually depends on the insured's ability to work and can be very subjective if the insurance carrier does not want to pay.
If you do suffer a debilitating injury, your insurance carrier may ask you to prove that you are unable to continue employment, or that you are unable to work at all. This can be a difficult and personally invasive process.
At Taylor & Tapper, we have helped many individuals going through the disability claims process. If your benefits are being denied or investigated, please call us for a free consultation.
